Humane has officially released more details on its hotly-anticipated $699 AI Pin, a wearable device for accessing AI hands-free through voice, gestures, and a built-in projector — with preorders set to begin on Nov. 16.
The details:
The lightweight gadget magnetically attaches to clothing and has no screen, instead controlled via touchpad, camera, laser, and built-in speakers.
Humane's AI mic software provides access to LLMs like ChatGPT and Microsoft models and aims to simplify AI use without downloading apps, settings, or always-on listening.
Demoed features include messaging, summaries, music, visual Q&A, photos, real-time translation, and nutrition analysis via food images.
Humane sees the device as a hands-free replacement to phones, and the subscription comes with its own number and service via T-Mobile.
Is it weird that of all the features mentioned, we’re most excited about the health and nutrition feature? (Demo’d at 5:55 in full launch video here)
